A synthetic approach to adult participation in education: Revised Chain of Response

The participation of adults in education is a complex issue that concerns the researchers of the specific scientific field. The final decision to participate is influenced by various factors, both endogenous and exogenous, which can be recorded, analyzed and interpreted after field research and using appropriate research tools. The purpose of this article is to present and analyze the Revised Chain of Response, which may contribute to the better organization of new researches to investigate the factors of adult participation in secondary education. This synthetic approach was created after research and was based on the Chain of Response" by Patricia Cross (1981). For its creation, a significant number of factors including the Chain of Response, as well as the factors recorded in the investigations conducted by the author at the Evening General Lyceums, were utilized.
