VTI students' satisfaction regarding their studies in the midst of the pandemic
VTI (Vocational Training Institutes) are part of the Standard Post-Secondary Education. Nowadays, post-secondary education in Greece is at the epicenter, as for the first time in the history of the Panhellenic exams, candidates can fill out a computerized form to have the right with their score to be admitted to the public Vocational Training Institutes (VTI), which are part of Non-Formal Education (Post-Secondary Education). The objective of Post-Secondary Education is to provide students with vocational education and training. Its role is considered important, because it offers alternative professional getaways, especially during the economic crisis. The present research explores VTI students’ perceptions about the education they have received, with a further reference to distance learning, the need for which has risen due to the pandemic. Furthermore, it explores the matter of pedagogical and didactic competence of instructors working in VTI, following changes that were imposed though a recent law that reduced the significance of their pedagogical competence.
