Safety and Effectiveness of Radiofrequency-Powered Transseptal Puncture With Intracardiac Echocardiography and Pressure Monitoring
As interventional cardiac procedures have become more complex and diverse, the importance of safe and precise transseptal puncture (TSP) has increased. This study verified the safety of the radiofrequency (RF)-powered needle as a TSP tool and introduced a method that allows practitioners to perform the procedure more safely using standardized techniques and monitoring methods. We believe that our study makes a significant contribution to the literature because the TSP method we present here is both safe and effective for standardizing the procedure.
