Summary of Small Business Development Directions in Region and Their Features
The study examines the role of small-scale entrepreneurship in the regional economy and its socio-economic significance. Small-scale enterprises exert notable quantitative and qualitative influence on balanced socio-economic development at both regional and national levels, necessitating the formulation of effective measures to enhance their performance. Existing directions for the development of regional small-scale entre-preneurship are extensive in both structure and content, which requires their synthesis and generalization. Such a synthesis is essential to evaluate the extent to which these directions correspond to prevailing regional devel-opment trends. The aim of the study is to develop a classification of the directions for the development of re-gional small-scale entrepreneurship based on a review and systematization of domestic and foreign literature. In accordance with this aim, the following tasks are identified: to examine how directions and specific features of small-scale entrepreneurship development are represented in the works of domestic and international scholars and practitioners; to synthesize the analyzed data; and to determine the grounds for classifying the directions of small-scale entrepreneurship development. The subject of the study is analyzed across four tem-poral intervals: 2018–2019; 2020–2021; 2022–2023; and 2024–2025.
