Patient Awareness and Acceptance of Laser Technology in Endodontics: A Cross-Sectional Study
Laser technology is becoming an essential part of endodontic practice due to its clear clinical advantages. A cross-sectional survey of 501 participants found that, although awareness remains limited, the results suggest that patients are willing to trust and accept laser-based treatments when recommended by dentists. In addition to the benefits of improved precision, reduced discomfort and superior disinfection, the use of lasers also promotes a sense of safety and confidence. These findings emphasise the importance of improving public understanding of, and support for, the integration of laser technology into modern dental care, since patient acceptance is essential for wider implementation.
