Patents in education - statistical analysis

<ns3:p>The article presents an analysis of patent applications submitted to the Patent Office in higher education, on the example of selected technical universities. Statistics on patent application submissions at Polish technical universities were analyzed. The functioning of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, the process of obtaining patents and the types of decisions that the office may issue were discussed. Legal and procedural aspects related to the protection of inventions were also highlighted, including the possibility of appealing against official decisions. The analysis of statistics in the discussed area from 2019–2023 aims to determine the activity of Polish technical universities in terms of the number of submitted applications for patents.</ns3:p>
