Gestão de risco por enfermeiros na segurança do paciente em ambientes de urgência e emergência: uma revisão integrativa

The purpose of this integrative study was to analyze the effectiveness of risk management practices implemented by nursing professionals to ensure patient safety in urgent and emergency care settings. The research sources used were the Medline/PubMed, BDENF, Coleciona SUS, LILACS, and SciELO databases. The initial search resulted in 93 articles. After analyzing the abstracts, 20 were selected for full reading, of which 8 met the inclusion criteria and addressed the central research question: "Do the effectiveness of risk management practices implemented by nurses in urgent and emergency services contribute to patient safety?". The results indicate that risk management strategies applied by nurses in urgent and emergency care, when supported by appropriate tools, can effectively promote patient safety, reflecting in the preservation of life, comprehensive care, and the assurance of patients' rights.
