The role of learning communities in the training of Vocational Training Institute trainers: Empirical field research
It is accepted that the formation of the effective teacher results from an evolutionary process in which the teacher is subject to change with age and his career. The result of the above factors is the formation of his professional identity which seems to emerge as a synthesis of professional development with the development of the school unit, elements that ultimately lead to the improvement of learning processes for students. An important role in the professional development of teachers is played by the "learning / practice communities", where teachers are in a relationship of mutual feed through dialogue with important others in the educational community (colleagues, educators, students / future teachers). An effective educator does not result from the sum of his / her knowledge, beliefs or skills but from his / her participation in learning / practice communities, which leads in the long run to experiences that transform his / her professional identity.
