The contribution of the file of Religious Education of the 4th grade Elementary school to the acceptance of diversity in the context of Intercultural Education

School is not a morally neutral space, nor a space from which values are absent. Therefore and within the framework of the institutionalization of the multiple book, this study investigates, using the method of content analysis, the intercultural orientation of the teaching guidelines of the subject of Religious Education of the fourth grade and how this can help students tolerating otherness. Initially, the study explores the references that demonstrate intercultural aspects, which are encoded, then they are displayed on a board of quantitative analysis and following this they are examined in a qualitative analysis. The intercultural dimension of the textbook is apparent in each chapter, but its contribution in covering the deficit that some students may present in tolerating otherness is significant as well.
