Relationships between area and perimeter using ICT to students of the pedagogical Department of Primary Education
In the context of the present study, an effort was made to understand and clarify the concepts of perimeter and area. The contribution of Embodied Learning, as it can be utilized through the use of ICT, was investigated in clarifying the practical dimension of these two geometric concepts, where students are often observed to be confused about their relationship. For this purpose, the "Euclidean School" was designed — an educational digital program that leverages Embodied Learning through haptic interfaces within a dynamic mixed-reality environment — and was implemented with a sample of 25 students from the Department of Primary Education.
