Expresión de marcadores hematológicos en subtipos de cáncer de mama: valor pronóstico y terapéutico

Background: Breast cancer involves complex interactions with hematologic parameters. Indicators like NLR, thrombocytosis, and IL-6 levels reflect immune dynamics and clinical trajectories. Objective: To evaluate the predictive value of hematological biomarkers for prognosis and treatment response in breast cancer patients. Methods: A longitudinal observational study of 76 patients was conducted. NLR, platelet count, hemoglobin, and IL-6 levels were measured and correlated with tumor subtype, clinical response, and 2-year survival. Results: High NLR (>4) was linked to poorer treatment response and increased recurrence (p<0.01). Thrombocytosis prevailed in HER2+ and triple-negative subtypes. Elevated IL-6 was associated with chemoresistance. Discussion: Findings confirm that hematologic markers offer insight into tumor microenvironments. Their inclusion in care protocols could enhance patient stratification, treatment planning, and post-treatment monitoring with minimal resource demand. Conclusions: Hematological biomarkers represent valuable prognostic tools in breast oncology. Their use may promote personalized therapy, improve recurrence prediction, and support interdisciplinary approaches in breast cancer management.
