Seattle Children’s Intestinal Rehabilitation Program’s Support Group for Patients and Their Families
Background: Living with intestinal failure can be overwhelming, both for the child and their caregivers, and can take a toll on mental health. Support groups for kids with intestinal failure are incredibly important for both the children and their families. They create a safe space where individuals can share their experiences, struggles, and triumphs within a supportive environment without judgment, often fostering a sense of acceptance and understanding.
