Cytomegalovirus Prophylaxis Utilizing Cytomegalovirus Immune Globulin in Adult Small Bowel Transplant Recipients
Background: Literature surrounding Cytomegalovirus(CMV) prophylaxis in adult intestinal transplant recipients is limited. The immunosuppression regimens in previously reported cases are no longer favored. Our center's CMV prophylaxis protocol was modified in June 2022, to limit Cytomegalovirus Immune Globulin(CMV IVIg) prophylaxis to CMV moderate- or high-risk recipients.
