A Multidisciplinary Outpatient Clinic for Young-Adult Transplant Recipients
Background: Young adulthood (18-25 years) is a critical period of transition toward independence. For transplant recipients, these challenges are compounded by the need for regular healthcare visits, responsibility for life-long medication, adherence to self-care routines and healthy lifestyle habits along with the psychological burden of rejection or other complications.
