Multivisceral Re-Transplantation with En Bloc Horseshoe Kidney and Bladder in a Pediatric Recipient: Video Presentation and Literature Review
to close the ileostoma.Of the living patients ( 14), 7 maintain mild/moderate RF without the need for dialysis and 1 is awaiting TR.Conclusions: IR is a major problem and multifactorial. It increases hospital stay, morbidity and readmissions, negatively impacting on QoL.Most patients have a degree of IR at discharge, which may improve after ileostoma closure. The use of other immunosuppressants that minimise tacrolimus doses and try to close the ileostoma as soon as possible could prevent IR and reduce its incidence.
