Nutritional assessment of Porto-Mesenteric Venous Thrombosis patients without cirrhosis referred for intestinal transplant assessment

Background: Porto-mesenteric venous thrombosis (PMVT) is an increasingly recognized indication for multivisceral transplant assessment. A single-centre study conducted at the Cambridge Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplant (CIRT) Centre found that PMVT constituted the highest proportion of transplant referrals in 2023. This study aimed to evaluate their nutritional status at the time of referral to CIRT for transplant assessment.
