Effect of teduglutide treatment on stool characteristics in children with short bowel syndrome-associated intestinal failure and colon-in-continuity
Background: Diarrhea associated with short bowel syndrome-associated intestinal failure (SBS-IF) can reduce quality of life (QoL) and increase parenteral nutrition and/or intravenous fluids (PN/IV) requirements. We evaluated the impact of teduglutide on stool characteristics, PN/IV and QoL in children with SBS-IF and colon-in-continuity (CIC).
