Research results on the use of a disinfectant based on tertiary amines at veterinary inspection objects
The problem of outbreaks of infectious animal diseases has been relevant at all times, as they cause enormous economic damage. In this regard, research and introduction into veterinary practice of new antimicrobial agents that are effective against a wide range of microorganisms is an important task for veterinary medicine. The bactericidal properties of new disinfectants are tested in laboratory conditions before they are used in practice. However, the regimes obtained in the laboratory do not provide disinfection of surfaces. In this regard, it is necessary to conduct industrial tests of disinfectants. The industrial tests of a disinfectant containing a substance from the class of tertiary amines were conducted at three veterinary inspection objects. It was found that it ensures 100 % disinfection of treated surfaces and process equipment. The preparation has disinfectant properties against sanitary indicator microorganisms in the following concentrations: for E. coli – at a concentration of 2,5 % and an exposure of 1 h, for S. aureus – 3,0 % with an exposure of 3 h for all types of surfaces at a consumption rate of 0,3–0,5 L/m2.
