Reliability assessment in the design of floating offshore wind turbine blades
In order to further explore the factors affecting the nonlinear structural stability characteristics of the blade, the Riks arc length method was used to study the influence of defect factor and arc length on the structural stability of the blade, and the stud y of the influence of linear buckling and nonlinear Riks analysis on its structural safety was also carried out. The results show that the nonlinear structural stability has a low degree of sensitivity to the defect factor, while it is more sensitive to the ch ange of arc length, which basically shows a trend of increasing with the arc length increasing nonlinear critical load factor under m ost working conditions. Meanwhile, considering the conservative design of floating wind turbine blade, it is recommended that the most conservative safety factor should be determined as the basis for the evaluation of blade structural stability by combining linear and low arc length value nonlinear stability analysis methods.
