Estimation of the solar radiation resource with the Kriging interpolation method – case of some Chinese sites
In photovoltaic design, obtaining accurate solar radiation resource data is crucial. This paper adopts the Kriging interpolat ion method to acquire solar radiation resource data. By collecting and processing solar radiation data, a solar radiation resourc e evaluation model based on Kriging interpolation is established. Through case studies, the accuracy differences of three variogram models in the interpolation calculation of solar irradiance across the country are explored. The research results show that the spherical semivariogram model can achieve higher accuracy in solar radiation resource evaluation. Utilizing the Kriging interpolation method, offline querying of solar radiation resources can be achieved without additional testing equipment or extra costs, making it more flexible and economical compared to previous query methods.
