Video monitoring as a constituent in the information and communication management of construction projects
The research aims to define the tasks of video surveillance at different stages of the construction project life cycle, as well as outline the functional and technical parameters of the choice of video cameras. Using online monitoring systems based on IP cameras and computer vision technologies significantly improves construction management, provides transparency of processes, and increases safety at construction sites. The functional and technical capabilities of the video camera as a component of the multimedia complex of the construction project management office were investigated. The need for video monitoring in the virtual office system for technical support of management processes was analyzed to meet project management standards. It is noted that the video camera should become an important source of obtaining operational information and the basis for making balanced and realistic management decisions in the construction industry. The possibilities of using video cameras on construction sites in the context of construction project management processes are outlined. The proposed mathematical model of choosing a video camera takes into account the functional and technical characteristics and the specifics of application at different phases of the life cycle of a construction project.
