Model-Free Predictive Voltage Control for PMSM Drives Based on Inductance Extraction with Two Voltage Vectors

To mitigate the effect of mismatched motor parameters in the model predictive control (MPC), a model-free predictive voltage control (MFPVC) method with stronger robustness is proposed. Firstly, an improved predictive model is reconstructed, where only the inductance parameter is retained to reduce the prediction deviation caused by parameter mismatches. Then, two cost functions are designed to derive the reference voltage equations through partial derivatives, which only include inductance information. Furthermore, an inductance extraction system consisting of an integrator and a low-pass filter is employed for continuously updating the inductance information and obtain accurate reference voltages in real-time. In addition, an optimal duty cycle (ODC) control algorithm combined with the updated inductance is implemented to enhance current tracking performance. At last, simulation analysis demonstrates that the MFPVC method exhibits strong robustness in the presence of parameter mismatches.
