Current Harmonic Suppression of Dual Three-Phase PMSM Based on an $H_{\infty}$ and MPC Hybrid Control

This paper proposes a novel hybrid current control architecture for dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors (DTP-PMSMs). The state-feedback <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\boldsymbol{H}_{\infty}$</tex> control employed in fundamental subspace enhances the antiinterference ability of the system to ensure stable energy conversion. The continuous control set model predictive control (CCS-MPC) with parameter adaptation is implemented in harmonic subspace, which expands the control system bandwidth to achieve superior dynamic response characteristics. Compared to conventional multi-synchronous reference frame PI-based harmonic suppression strategies, the method in this paper exhibits better dynamic and steady-state performance. Finally, the simulation results validate the enhanced robustness of this proposed <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\boldsymbol{H}_{\infty}$</tex>-MPC hybrid control architecture.

Abstract

This paper proposes a novel hybrid current control architecture for dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors (DTP-PMSMs). The state-feedback <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\boldsymbol{H}_{\infty}$</tex> control employed in fundamental subspace enhances the antiinterference ability of the system to ensure stable energy conversion. The continuous control set model predictive control (CCS-MPC) with parameter adaptation is implemented in harmonic subspace, which expands the control system bandwidth to achieve superior dynamic response characteristics. Compared to conventional multi-synchronous reference frame PI-based harmonic suppression strategies, the method in this paper exhibits better dynamic and steady-state performance. Finally, the simulation results validate the enhanced robustness of this proposed <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\boldsymbol{H}_{\infty}$</tex>-MPC hybrid control architecture.
