Three-Vector Based Model Predictive Current Control for Dual Three-Phase PMSM

The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by simulation.

Abstract

In the finite control set model predictive current control (FCS-MPCC) strategy for dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (DTP-PMSM), For the purpose of suppressing harmonic current, the large and medium-large voltage vectors in the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\alpha-\beta$</tex> subspace are used to compose virtual voltage vector (VVV). Make use of their opposite characteristic in the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$x-y$</tex> subspace, the average voltage of VVV in the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$x-y$</tex> subspace is 0 by distributing the application times of two voltage vectors. However, the medium-large voltage vectors of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$x-y$</tex> subspace are used, this leads to relatively large fluctuation of the harmonic current. To further suppress harmonic current, a three-vector based VVV is proposed. Each large voltage vector in <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\alpha-\beta$</tex> subspace and its two adjacent large voltage vectors are used to synthesize virtual voltage vector, The voltage vectors used are the small voltage vectors of the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$x-y$</tex> subspace, which further reduces the harmonic current without extra computation burden or reduction of voltage utilization rate. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by simulation.
