Antennas Dedicated to the Dielectric Characterization of Concrete Structures
Defects and moisture present in concrete structures throughout the year can compromise their durability. Therefore, non-destructive testing methods are necessary to detect these issues at an early stage and prevent further degradation. This study presents the application of antennas for the characterization of the dielectric properties of concrete. The objective is to position an antenna near existing concrete structures and to assess the presence of defects or moisture within the structure by analyzing variations in its resonance frequency.
