Analysis of Virtualization Technologies to Optimize the Use of Hardware in Data Centers

Virtualization is now a key component in contemporary data center designs, boosting scalability, reducing costs, and improving resource use. This research seeks to improve comprehension of virtualization technologies and assist in the implementation of successful virtualization approaches in data center environments. The study examines the physical processor load linked to different hypervisors, particularly comparing Oracle VM VirtualBox and Hyper-V.Through a comprehensive evaluation of performance assessment, the research highlights the pros and cons of each hypervisor, offering practical guidance on their ideal applications. The results show that Hyper-V exhibits better performance and more effective resource allocation compared to Oracle VM VirtualBox. This stems primarily from Hyper-V's optimization for enterprise and cloud infrastructures, where strong security, reliability, and scalability are crucial. As a result, Hyper-V is suggested for data centers that seek maximum operational efficiency and stability. Conversely, Oracle VM VirtualBox remains a useful choice for smaller deployments, development tasks, and educational settings due to its ease of use and cross-platform adaptability. This comparative analysis supports the larger goal of refining virtualization practices across different IT infrastructures.
