Evaluating Neighborhood Characteristics and Living Conditions in Tea Worker Housing: A Comparative Study of Two Tea Estates in Sylhet City"

Bangladesh is consequently quite significant in the South Asian tea industry as it drinks a lot of tea.Tea workers, who spend most of their life working on tea farms, significantly influence the direction of the industry. They have faced challenges since the beginning of Bangladesh's tea gardens. This research investigates the primary challenges these workers have, including insufficient basic requirements and amenities and bad living situations. The research carried out field polls and interviews in order to compile comprehensive data on present housing situations. The findings show that many tea workers live in small, inadequate houses that fall short of fundamental criteria for health and safety. Moreover complicating their housing situation are socioeconomic factors like poor income and restricted access to financial resources. This study presents innovative design concepts meant for affordably cost, ecologically friendly dwellings particularly for tea workers. To guarantee that housing complexes are financially viable and culturally suitable, strategies include the use of locally sourced materials, use of energy-efficient designs, and community engagement in the planning process. This research seeks to promote global models of sustainable development that can direct policy discussions on housing for poor people in Bangladesh.
