As relações históricas sino-paquistanesas
China and Pakistan have a strategic relationship that has gained attention in recent decades, but the two have been close allies for over 60 years. After the announcement of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and especially after Pakistan's integration into the Belt and Road Initiative, the debate over Sino-Pakistani cooperation intensified. Within this context, the rise in regional tensions with India is evident, as it has been moving closer to the United States to counter China. Understanding the historical developments of these countries is crucial to better understand current developments in China's strategic environment. Sino-Pakistani relations have a strong influence on both countries' regional activities, in addition to influencing Indian actions. Therefore, it is essential to understand Sino-Pakistani relations and their current centrality to Chinese foreign policy and the Indo-US rapprochement aimed at containing China and its global expansion plan. Therefore, this article proposes to analyze Sino-Pakistani relations from a historical perspective and as an important part of Chinese foreign policy, present since its founding and gaining greater strategic value over time. The article aims to demonstrate the importance of Pakistan, traditionally overlooked in analyses of Chinese foreign policy, explaining how and why these two states grew closer.
