TEACHING BUSINESS ENGLISH TO NON-PHILOLOGICAL SPECIALITIES:A PROFESSIONALLY ORIENTED APPROACH
The theses focus on the analysis of a professionally oriented approach to teaching business English as a foreign language to students of non-philological specialities. The paper substantiates the need for a variable course structure tailored to specific academic domains (political science, history, journalism, psychology) and highlights the importance of genre, stylistic, and intercultural adaptation of learning materials. The relevance of applying such methodologies as CLIL, PBL, simulations, and debates is emphasized. It is demonstrated that the use of authentic materials and the modelling of professional situations contribute to the development of students’ language competence, critical thinking, and professional self-realization.
