TÚNEL MODIFICADO AVANÇADO CORONARIAMENTE COM ENXERTOCONJUNTIVO E I-PRF PARA CORREÇÃO DE RECESSÕES GENGIVAIS: RELATO DE CASO.
Gingival recession is a prevalent condition that can compromise both oral health and patient aesthetics. Treatment often involves periodontal plastic surgery. The amount of keratinized gingiva in such cases influences the difficulty of maintaining adequate oral hygiene, increasing bacterial biofilm accumulation and predisposing to persistent inflammation. This case report describes the treatment of a single gingival recession using the modified tunnel technique combined with a connective tissue graft agglutinated with injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF). A 26-year-old female patient presented with root exposure of the right canine and reported aesthetic discomfort when smiling as her chief complaint. Clinical examination revealed a Type 1 gingival recession with no signs of local inflammation. A surgical plan was established and root coverage was performed. Six-month postoperative follow-up showed complete root coverage and absence of gingival inflammation. These results highlight the clinical success of the technique, demonstrating its effectiveness in achieving root coverage.
