The Influence of Legal Standing, Normatic Ambiguity, and Political Pressure in The Dissolution of Political Parties

Dissolving political parties is a crucial feature of the constitutional system that needs to be handled properly to preserve a balance between democratic values and state stability. The purpose of this study is to examine how much political pressure, legal standing, and the vagueness of legal standards influence Indonesia's political party dissolution process. In the political environment, these three factors are thought to play a significant part in determining the legitimacy and course of the legal system. The rightful party to submit a dissolution request is determined by legal standing, but the lack of clarity in standards leads to ambiguity in the application of the law that may be applied subjectively. On the other hand, judicial choices may be influenced by political pressure from certain individuals, rendering party dissolution less objective. Analyzing primary and secondary legal sources as well as relevant academic literature is the research method employed in this juridical-normative literature study. It is anticipated that this study would advance political law theory and serve as a basis for assessing how to make the party dissolution process more equitable, open, and nondiscriminatory.
