A CLINICAL CASE OF PROSTHETICS OF THE EXCRETORY RIGHT VENTRICLE IN A CHILD USING A VALVE-CONTAINING XENOPERICARDIAL CONDUIT “PYLON”
Highlights The relevance of the clinical case is related to the high incidence of Fallot's tetrad and the need for complex cardiac surgery, including prosthetics of the excretory right ventricle. The development and application of high-quality conduits, such as Pylon, is important for improving surgical outcomes in children. Abstract Resume Tetrad of Fallot (TF), the most common type of cyanotic congenital heart disease (CHD), has an incidence rate of 0.34 per 1,000 infants. When performing radical correction, transannular plastic surgery is often required. Later, such children need prosthetics of the excretory right ventricle. This clinical case demonstrates the adequacy of the chosen conduit during the procedure.
