Errata to “Mapping the Earth's Embrace: Queer Life-Building in Mame-Diarra Niang's Éthérée” and “Collecting the Past, Facing the Future: Revealing Collections’ Connections Using the Archives of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and Library”

Due to a last-minute change in an image file in Abigail Celis, “Mapping the Earth's Embrace: Queer Life-Building in Mame-Diarra Niang's Éthérée” (African Arts, vol. 57, no. 1, 2024: 32-45; https://doi.org/10.1162/afar_a_00741), an incorrect credit line was used for Figure 1 on p. 33. The photograph was taken by Virginie Ryan, not Laure Malecot. Also, in Alexandra Eveleigh and Ruth Horry, “Collecting the Past, Facing the Future: Revealing Collections’ Connections Using the Archives of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and Library” (African Arts, vol. 58, no. 1, 2025: 26-43; https://doi.org/10.1162/afar_a_00766), the same pie chart graphic was inadvertently supplied for both Figure 6 and Figure 7 on pp. 38-39. The correct chart for Figure 7 is:7 Transcribe Wellcome data on WHMM auction purchasesEntries where acquisition source is a named auction house (as of 09 June 2024)
