Abstract

In this day of rapidly advancing technology, small hardware and software designs have become almost natural forces. The Software Defined Networks (SDN) introduced the idea of soft implementations, which it implements as three independent tiers of layers that are referred to as "Data Plane," "Control Plane," and "Application Plane."The load balancing techniques and energy-saving techniques are the main attractions for high performance network improvement.Load Balancing of the network can be achieved at number of stages, and similarly energy efficiency.Managing the allocation of resources, congestion management and using single or multi controller environments the load of the whole network can be shaded. To achieve efficient networking a combination of basic analysis and Quality of Service (QoS) parallel processing will give a comprehensive solution to the readers. The analysis focuses upon i) preventing inefficient resource use, and ii) balancing the load.iii) to secure the network iv) Tool and Technique Selection. This article reviews SDN and Software Defined Edge Controller architectures, emphasizing their roles in addressing network congestion, inefficient resource allocation and energy consumption. It explores load balancing techniques, security issues and SDN's programmability through tools like OpenFlow. The outcome is a novel modular SDEC framework that enables efficient edge computing, dynamic control and reduced carbon emissions. The study demonstrates how SDN, combined with intelligent controllers and local OTH services, offers a scalable low-power and eco-friendly alternative to traditional infrastructures. It is a novel work and provides rich knowledge about effective tools and techniques in SDN for load balancing, energy efficiency and security.
