A INFLUÊNCIA DA FAMÍLIA NO PROCESSO DE APRENDIZAGEM

The influence of family involvement in school has been widely discussed in the last decade. This is encouraged by the National Curricular Parameters and institutionalized by the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education No. 9,394/96. It is understood that the educational process is not solely the responsibility of teachers and schools, but also the family, which is responsible for the individual’s primary ethical and moral values. The purpose of this work is to examine the importance and influence of the family, as a social institution, on the learning of its children, because the insufficiency of adequate family environments committed to the development of children and adolescents seems obvious. Since learning is an enigmatic process, extensively investigated and discussed by theorists such as Piaget, Vigotsky, and Oliveira, highlighted in this work, there is a need to seek information on the influence of the family environment on school learning. Thus, the general objective of this article is to understand the influence of family involvement in school on the teaching-learning process. To this end, it uses bibliographical research, a qualitative research methodology. Therefore, it is emphasized that this relationship between school and family can bring many benefits to education as a whole, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning.
