Journal of Current Cardiology: Growing stronger with every beat

"The desire to reach for the stars is ambitious. The desire to reach hearts is wise." - Maya Angelou The Journal of Current Cardiology (JCC) continues to advance its mission of delivering high-quality, peer-reviewed research and clinical insights in the field of cardiovascular medicine.[1] With rising readership, expanding global reach, and increasing citations, JCC is steadily emerging as a trusted voice in the cardiology community. Between 2022 and 2024, the journal recorded 2050 sessions from readers across more than 70 countries, with particularly strong engagement from India (65.7%), followed by the United States (11.6%) and China (3.7%).[2] The average session duration stood at an impressive 2 min and 42 s, underscoring meaningful engagement with our content.[2] Our readers primarily accessed the journal via desktop (55.9%) and mobile devices (43.6%),[2] supported by seamless discoverability across search engines, institutional platforms, and indexing services. The majority of traffic came through organic search (42.8%), followed by direct visits (29.3%) and referrals (24.4%).[2] Original research articles, insightful reviews, and clinically relevant case reports continue to form the core of our publishing efforts. Among the most viewed articles in this period were Reviving the Art of Medicine (288 views), Left Ventricular Assist Device: Current Updates (126 views), and Cutting Balloon: Indications and Usage (83 views), reflecting the practical value of our content to healthcare professionals and researchers alike. Our academic footprint is growing as well. Between 2024 and 2025, articles published in JCC received six citations,[2] with high-impact topics including dilated cardiomyopathy, primary aldosteronism, cardiac computed tomography, amyloidosis, and cardiorenal syndrome. These references in the wider medical literature highlight the journal’s increasing relevance in clinical and scholarly discussions. As we move forward, we remain committed to publishing timely, clinically meaningful, and scientifically rigorous content. We thank our contributors, reviewers, and readers for their continued trust and look forward to further strengthening our role in shaping the future of cardiovascular care. Together, we are building a journal that informs, inspires, and leads with heart. Financial support and sponsorship Nil. Conflicts of interest There are no conflicts of interest.
