Sex Differences in Willingness to Change Outfits Popular Among Sex Workers
The current study examined several variables, focusing on people's willingness to change outfits popular among sex workers. Japanese participants participated in a simple scenario experiment. As predicted, women were more likely than men to view sex work as a negative profession, more willing than men to change outfits popular among sex workers, perceived sexual promiscuity more negatively than men did, and perceived that sex workers have a higher risk regarding sexually transmitted infections than men did. However, the prediction that people would be more willing to change outfits that are popular among sex workers was not confirmed. The current study reinforces the vast existing research on sex differences.
