ECONOMIC AND STATISTICAL ASSESSMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND QUALITY OF LABOR SPHERE AS A CRITERION OF QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE REGION

The article is devoted to the assessment of employment and quality of labor sphere as a criterion of quality of life in the region. To calculate the criterion, seven statistical and calculated-analytical indicators characterizing the most significant aspects of employment and working conditions were used. A brief description of these indicators is given. To assess the burden on the employed population, the coefficient of employment burden, calculated as the number of unemployed in the economy per 1000 employed, was introduced into scientific circulation. The results of the study showed that for all analyzed indicators, with the exception of the “purchasing power of the average salary”, the values of the Kaluga region exceed the Russian average. The dynamics of the criterion “employment and quality of the labor sphere” in the period from 2015 to 2023 demonstrates a stable advantage of the Kaluga region compared to the average Russian values, as well as a positive growth trend.
