Exceptional Photorheological Switching of Solventless Polymer Networks Enabled by Precisely Architected Flexible Star Polysiloxanes
We report the synthesis and photoresponsivity of precisely designed star-shaped poly(dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS) with anthracene end groups. These materials exhibit rapid ON–OFF photorheological switching with a greater than 25,000-fold change in the storage modulus. The effective utilization of flexible polymers and precisely defined polymer architectures offers a versatile platform for photorheological smart polymeric materials across a broad spectrum of applications.
