Contemporary dangdut music demands its performers to be a "complete package," extending beyond mere vocal quality. This research aims to fill a gap in dangdut studies, which tend to overlook holistic performance analysis by focusing on lyrics or music videos.Using a qualitative case study approach on Aini Zhafara's "Oplosan" performance video, this article analyzes how a star persona is strategically constructed. The analysis employs a hybrid theoretical framework combining the concept of Aesthetic Capital from sociology and Performative Competence from performance studies.Findings indicate that Zhafara effectively mobilizes her high aesthetic capital (a dominant physique and iconic style) and demonstrates consummate performative competence (technical skills, artistic expressivity, and absolute stage mastery). The synergy between these two modalities transforms her performance from a potential object into a powerful subject, thereby negotiating female performers' agency within the modern dangdut industry.
