Changes in pneumococcal deaths in the USA following the COVID-19 pandemic
Pneumococcal mortality patterns changed notably after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our findings highlighted the influence of respiratory viruses on the development and severity of pneumococcal disease.
