Optimal economic dispatching strategy of cascade hydropower stations based on genetic algorithm

With the development of new power system, cascade hydropower stations play an important role as clean energy in the power system. Cascade hydropower stations need to cooperate with new energy sources such as wind power and photovoltaic to play an optimal role. Therefore, this paper uses genetic optimization algorithm to optimize the operation of cascade hydropower stations. An optimal operation model aimed at minimizing water consumption during power generation is constructed at the optimization level of hydropower stations in the plant. The model includes objective functions and constraints. In order to solve this model, a dynamic programming algorithm is adopted. Through simulation analysis, the effect of the optimization model in practical application is demonstrated, including the reduction of power generation water consumption and the improvement of power generation efficiency. From the perspective of new power market, the theoretical basis, model construction and solution algorithm of optimal operation of cascade hydropower stations are systematically studied, and the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by simulation analysis.
