Study on the Decay Law of Asphalt Performance on Xinjiang G217 Highway Based on Support Vector Regression Modeling

Xinjiang highways are characterised by a considerable spatial extent; consequently, in order to enhance the comprehension of roadway performance, it is imperative to formulate predictions based on historical roadway performance data. The pavement condition index (PCI) is a common pavement performance evaluation index which has a visual reflection of the road usage condition. The present paper introduces the support vector regression model, through the processing and analysis of the Xinjiang pavement condition index PCI data, to obtain the prediction results of the past years. The regression has been shown to have a correlation coefficient of 0.99 or more with the actual value of G217 national highway over the past six years. The establishment of this model can provide an important scientific basis for the maintenance of roads in Xinjiang.
