Design and Application of a Fault Information-guided Targeted Inspection Route Auto-generation System for Distribution Networks

A fault information-guided targeted inspection route auto-generation system for distribution networks is proposed. The system first analyzes traveling wave fault signals to identify the fault section and type. Based on the fault type and location, and by using related routes in the route library, the system automatically selects inspection target waypoints. The waypoint information, such as latitude, longitude, and tower height, is used as constraints for route planning. After generating the optimal inspection route through a route fusion algorithm, the system automatically creates tasks. The drone then autonomously performs the inspection. When it reaches the fault section's tower, visible light and infrared cameras detect faults like collapse, damage, and scorching. After completing the fault inspection, the drone automatically returns to its base. This platform achieves efficient and precise fault inspection, reduces reliance on manual labor, and improves the speed and efficiency of fault processing.
