Preventing curvature singularities in f(R) dark energy models
The curvature singularity problem in [Formula: see text] dark energy models poses a significant challenge to their viability as alternatives to the [Formula: see text]CDM paradigm. In this work, we investigate the possibility of resolving this issue by incorporating higher-order corrections that are compatible with the inflationary phase. We analyze the effects of adding [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]-attractor representation in [Formula: see text] gravity terms to types of dark energy [Formula: see text] models, focusing on their ability to prevent singularities in high-density environments. Our analysis reveals that a dynamically decreasing inflationary mass scale is essential for linking early-universe inflationary dynamics with late-time cosmic acceleration, while ensuring the suppression of curvature oscillations responsible for singularities. These inflation-motivated corrections not only stabilize the models across different cosmological epochs, but also provide a unified and physically consistent framework that naturally recovers General Relativity in the low-curvature regime.
