Assessment of urbanization impact on water balance and water exchange of Suzdal lakes in St. Petersburg

The hydrological study is devoted to the study of the reasons for the ongoing decrease of natural water resources and water exchange of Suzdal lakes on the territory of St. Petersburg. Methods. Determination of multiyear dynamics of the main elements of the lakes’ water balance using the data of observations of water level and discharge in the Suzdal lakes hydrosystem. Assessment of changes in water regime characteristics was carried out using chronological, comparative, correlation and statistical methods of hydrometeorological characteristics analysis. Results. The climatic and anthropogenic reasons for the decrease of natural water resources of water reservoirs in the summer low-water period were revealed.
