Augmented Reality to Visualize Digital Twins for Remote Final Acceptance Testing of Electrical Drives
Digital Twins are digital representations of real products, consisting of a Digital Master, which includes models like geometry models and inspection sheets, and a Digital Shadow, which contains data such as live sensor and simulation data. This enables real-time monitoring of both the product’s current and simulated states. Augmented Reality (AR) effectively visualizes this information. This paper presents a method for preparing Digital Twin data for mobile AR applications, supporting acceptance testing for electrical drives. The data is accessible on AR devices and streamed to web pages for remote access. Additionally, the paper evaluates the maturity of the presented Digital Twin concept.
