Integration of Industry Standards in VR Training Simulations
With the evolution of Virtual Reality (VR) technology, there has been increasing interest in utilising VR tools for training in various applications, particularly in complex and hazardous situations. The role of safety and industry standards is to reduce the risk of injury and maintain efficiency in such situations, hence building awareness of these standards is essential for training. Therefore, a key consideration in simulations should be the application of these standards in the simulated environment. This paper assesses the current state of industry standards implemented in VR training simulations and discusses the integration of standards in these simulations.
