Validation of a hybrid model combining Townsend and Marion to estimate PV snow soiling losses

Snow soiling losses can have a significant impact on the performance of PV systems. The most commonly used models to estimate these losses are the Towsend and Marion models. This abstract shows a preliminary comparison of the two models and introduces the main goal of this study: validate the performance of a hybrid model combining both Townsend and Marion model. The validation is still ongoing and will be presented in the full-length version of this study.
