A Blockchain Spatiotemporal Information Consensus Scheme Toward Mobile Edge Nodes
Efficient utilization of idle computational resources in mobile edge nodes for consensus in heterogeneous networks is a novel and underexplored research area. This paper introduces a consensus scheme that solves the problem of overloaded server nodes and idle resources in mobile edge nodes by delegating consensus tasks from the server nodes to mobile edge nodes. Additionally, the scheme utilizes spatiotemporal information generated by the Beidou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) to achieve an efficient and secure consensus process and block ordering. Furthermore, the scheme employs Locally Repairable Code (LRC) in the consensus process, which allows for fast repair of missing data when a node fails and improves the fault tolerance of data storage. Experimental results show that under the settings of {400, 800, 1600} transactions per block, 21 consensus nodes, and the distance between the server nodes and consensus nodes are 500km, our scheme achieves a peak throughput of {9166, 9886, 7960} tps, while reducing the CPU utilization of server nodes by {3.22, 4.16, 4.69} compared to running consensus only within server nodes.
